Paper prints are printed on heavy, 100% cotton paper and are shipped to you flat—corner-mounted on foam core, and packaged inside a clear, cellophane sleeve. Prints larger than 17 x 22 inches are rolled and shipped in sturdy tubes. Their presentation is perfect for gift-giving and they are ready to frame. We custom print to your order; please allow two weeks plus shipping. If you need your print in a hurry, please let us know and we’ll try our best to expedite your order.

Framed prints are ready to hang on your wall. Our archival prints are framed using a white museum mat (approximately 3 inches wide), a 1-inch black wood frame, and UV-protected “Conservation Clear” glass. Add approximately 7-8 inches to image size width and height dimensions for finished frame allowance. Prints are carefully packaged to arrive safely. Betsy Bowen makes woodblock prints from her studio in a former Grand Marais, Minnesota, Lutheran church. Her art shows us a glimpse of life in the north woods, and her prints illustrate many books for children and adults. Originally from Chicago, Betsy discovered woodcuts as a young art student in Sarasota, Florida. The vigor of wood carving was appealing: “Cutting an image into wood is a commitment…it’s a bold act to cut for hours with sharp tools, making a backwards picture onto a slab of wood—and believe it will be pleasing, or meaningful, when finally printed.” Bowen still lives on the Grand Marais family homestead where she raised her three boys.
