We offer free shipping on orders of $100 or more and a flat-rate shipping charge of $9.95 on orders less than $100.

Shipping artwork requires special packaging and attention. If you are ordering framed prints, canvas prints, or originals, we will add a surcharge to cover this extra packaging, delivery cost, and insurance, even if your order totals $100 or more.

As you can imagine, it is much more expensive to deliver a large, framed print than it is to deliver an unframed print on paper. We want your items to arrive in perfect condition, no matter their size. If your item requires a surcharge it will be noted on the product page as you make your selection, and in your shopping cart when you check out. Our surcharges are based on product weight and size, and reflect our actual costs to safely deliver your artwork.

If you’d like to pick up your order in Duluth or Grand Marais to save on shipping or surcharge fees, call 218-387-2491 and place your order by phone. We welcome all phone orders!

Questions? Call 218-387-2491. We’re here to help and open Sunday 10-4/Monday-Saturday from 10-5.

Save the date! Sivertson Gallery’s Holiday Harbor Village show & shopping event

Save the date! Sivertson Gallery’s Holiday Harbor Village show & shopping event

Enjoy unique Art of the North holiday shopping in December! Festive events are planned for all ages in Grand Marais during Holiday Harbor Village, Friday and Saturday, December 1 and 2, 2023. Bring the whole family north for an authentic, artisan retail experience filled with good cheer and good spirits. We’ll have two days of events and shows here at Sivertson Gallery, featuring four talented artists.

Friday, December 1, 5-7pm: Treats, painting demo, and artist Neil Sherman

We’ll be open late with hot chocolate, cookies, and a demonstration/show with painter Neil Sherman. Join us at the gallery from 5 to 7pm on Friday, December 1, 2023 for a fun evening.

Painting with Neil Sherman. Neil strives to capture the feeling and essence of a particular day when he paints. He often paints on location in Grand Marais and is known for his plein air work. In 2011, he hiked the entire 277-mile Superior Hiking Trail, section by section, painting along the way. During that hike, Neil realized that if you can get people to take an interest in a wild and beautiful place, they are more likely to take care of it. Neil is also our Frame Shop expert, and will mat, frame, and finish any piece of art to perfection.

Saturday, December 2, 1-4pm: Artist talks, shows, and shopping with Maggie, Jean, and Betsy

On Saturday, December 2, 2023, join us at Sivertson Gallery when we’ll host potter Maggie Anderson and jewelers Betsy Anderson and Jean Nelson. All three artists will be at the gallery and will be available to chat about their work.

Maggie Anderson of Clay Phoenix. Maggie makes functional and sculptural ceramics, and her inspiration comes from the North Shore’s gorgeous land and water. She uses a potter’s wheel to create mugs, bowls, plates, jars, and vases, and fires them using the raku method. Raku is a traditional method of firing clay that exposes the clay to violent temperature extremes, creating crackled, unique surface designs and one-of-a-kind pieces. Maggie lives and works in Lutsen, Minnesota.

Betsy Anderson, silversmith with Bohemian touches. Betsy lives on the Baptism River in Finland, Minnesota, where nature’s beauty inspires creativity. She learned silversmithing in college, and instantly found her passion. Betsy uses old-school techniques to create vintage-looking silver jewelry with Native American, Mexican, and southwestern design influences. Turquoise, various jaspers, and other rustic semi-precious gemstones are featured in her pieces and help drive her designs.

Jean Nelson, jeweler inspired by nature. Jean’s studio is tucked away in the northern Minnesota woods near Finland and the Sawtooth Mountains, where she creates jewelry that is fun and easy to wear. Her pieces are made from silver, copper, natural gemstones, and stones gathered from the Lake Superior shoreline. She has a love for combining metal and stone, and for playing with fire. Jean pays extra attention to the amazing nature that surrounds her, letting it inspire unique details in her pieces.
