The Cape Dorset Print Collection celebrates 65 years of Arctic beauty … and the 2024 prints are here!

The Cape Dorset Print Collection celebrates 65 years of Arctic beauty … and the 2024 prints are here!

2024 marks the 65th year of Kinngait Studios’ annual collection of prints from artists of the far north. Formerly known as Cape Dorset (until February of 2020), Kinngait is an Arctic island located in Hudson Strait, Nunavut, Canada. Cape Dorset is world famous for its great artwork—especially printmaking, drawing and carving.

Artists living here have channeled their creativity into prints representing the Inuit way of life, drawing inspiration from a landscape that is dotted with caribou on nearby hills and from a marine life filled with seals, walruses, beluga whales and sea birds.

Each year in October, a collection of their prints is released to select galleries worldwide. Sivertson Gallery is thrilled to have been named the U.S. host gallery for the 2024 Cape Dorset print collection.
