Day 4 of Our Trapper’s Daughter Adventure!

Day 4 of our Trapper’s Daughter adventure beings with the winner of our 2014 Summer
Solstice Trapper’s Daughter Bracket Competition….

In 2010, Rick Allen decided to try something new. With 26 different wood blocks, and
26 individual passes through the press, Rick and his famous helper Janelle, the Warrior
Printress, worked their tails off on this one!!!

But wait…. there’s MORE!

The Kenspeckles decided to add a beautiful moon to the Long View. This move of course required 2 extra blocks… but after 20 some woodblocks, who is counting??

THANK YOU, Rick & Janelle, for all your hard work!!! What an AMAZING print!!!

In the “Long View” we meet two more of our favorite Woodswoman’s forest buddies, the raccoon & the owl.  Two furry and feathery friends often depicted in Kenspeckle prints, and certainly in future Trapper’s Daughter images.

It is in 2012 that we see our first autumn themed print.

According to the Kenspeckles, after receiving such fantastic praise for the Long View, the Trapper’s Daughter suddenly because shy and retreated. She was not to be seen until two years later, when she appeared with grace in “The Sudden Fall.” Nestled in her dear moose friend’s antlers, she casually catches the first golden leaf of the autumn. What a life!!

Uff Dah, what a day of BEAUTY! Be sure to check back tomorrow for another day of Trapper’s Daughter exploring.
Until then, enjoy the day!
